Stop in and talk with representatives from various University departments.
|1:15 p.m. - 2:05 p.m.||Panther Central Presentation
Panther Central is the University’s concierge service provider and your go-to place for all the essentials of daily living on campus, from Pitt IDs and housing, to meal plans and transportation.
|2:15 p.m. - 3:50 p.m.||Managing Student Finances
Every student and parent needs to understand how to pay for college. Student Financial Services Staff and Financial Aid Counselors will share payment options, due dates, financial aid requirements, and financial literacy tips. All student attendees will have the opportunity to win a $500 Book Award for the University Store on Fifth!
|4 p.m. - 4:50 p.m.||Computer and Web Resources Presentation
Join members of Computing Services to obtain information on Campus Computing Labs, Internet connectivity, important websites (e.g. course listings and software downloads), and your student email/financial accounts.
|5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.||Student Affairs: Life on Campus
In this entertaining presentation, you will meet the 2017 First Year Mentors as they act out everyday situations on college campuses. After the presentation, parents and guardians are invited to stay for a Student Affairs staff panel.
|6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.||PittStart Family Dinner
Wind down your day by joining fellow Pitt parents and guardians, and Pitt Pathfinders, for an evening social event.

Everyone will officially check in for the PittStart session now unless you checked in for your PittStart session on Day One. Sennott Square, the home of Pitt Business, is located on the corner of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street (across from the School of Law).

|8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.||Welcome to Pitt Business: From the Classroom, To the City, To the World
This program is mandatory for all Pitt Business freshmen. Parents are welcome to attend, but not required to attend. During this time, students will learn what it takes to be a successful Pitt Business student. Topics covered include: academic planning, career development, international experiences, the Pitt Business-specific outside the classroom curriculum, business student organizations, and business student life. Presenters include representatives from the Pitt Business Associate Dean’s office, Pitt Business Academic Advising, Pitt Business Career Development, Pitt Business International Programs, and others. Students should plan to check out and have lunch after this program ends.

Welcome to the Pitt Family and the Panther Parents Association! This session will give you a "heads up" on move-in activities and how you can be proactive in preparing your student for college life

What tutoring resources are available? Where and when should we get books? How will college academics be different from high school? Get answers to these questions and more at this Q&A session.
