Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be on your own for the two days. Families will be provided with a complimentary meal pass.

Panther Central is the University’s concierge service provider and your go-to place for all the essentials of daily living on campus, from Pitt IDs and housing, to meal plans and transportation.

Every student and parent needs to understand how to pay for college. Student Financial Services and Financial Aid Counselors explain the student account and share payment options, due dates, financial aid requirements, and financial literacy tips. All student attendees will have the opportunity to win a $500 Book Award for the University Store on Fifth!

Join members of Computing Services to obtain information on Campus Computing Labs, Internet connectivity, important websites (e.g. course listings and software downloads), and your student email/financial accounts.

5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Student Affairs: Life on Campus
In this entertaining presentation, you will meet the 2017 First Year Mentors as they act out everyday situations on college campuses. After the presentation, parents and guardians are invited to stay for a Student Affairs staff panel.

If you were unable to attend Day One of the PittStart session, this is your opportunity to receive a finalized agenda for the day’s events. If you checked in for the PittStart session yesterday, you do not need to do so again.

The School of Nursing Student Services Office will provide an overview about the school and expectations for students and parents. Topics will include: the advising process, the nursing curriculum, and services that students can utilize while attending Pitt.

9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Nursing Parent Meeting
School of Nursing staff will answer questions about academics and related matters. Afterward, parents/guardians will be dismissed from the School of Nursing until after the student’s registration appointment. This will allow the parents time to participate in the many campus tours and activities, and allow the students time to get acquainted with each other.
